Having been to many workshops since 2004, this facility really was something else to walk through. Based in the sought after communities between North Brisbane and the Gold Coast, it’s a desired location for those that are looking for some sort of lifestyle. It’s a jobbing type of environment, where its clear that the clients have a wide variety of requirements that can be catered for. The types of welding that you would be doing includes:

• Tig aluminium work, generally 9-12 mil thickness
• Mig work up to 20 mil thick
• Aluminium boat repairs (for North Brisbane role)

Official Job Description 

Criteria
• Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication, or equivalent trade certificate.

Salary Range:
$32.00 - $35.00 per hour

Hours:
38 hours with reasonable over time.

• Reading fabrication drawings and carrying out work accordingly.
• Technical and vocational education and training qualification.
• Good reading comprehension.
• Perform physical labouring tasks associated with welding work such as lifting and adjusting heavy objects and cleaning up work site.
• Experience in MIG welding in a precision fabrication environment.
• Proven track record working in cutting, welding, and fabricating.
• Excellent fabrication process knowledge in mild steel, aluminium, and stainless steel.
• Success managing and aligning to manufacturing operational safety requirements.
• Good time management skills and a strong sense of initiative; and
• Experience in TIG welding (very desirable, but not essential)
• Demonstrate understanding of all the jobs in your work area and apply that knowledge and understanding in a timely and accurate manner.
