The Role:  

Lead Generation and Prospecting: Identifying potential clients through methods such as door-to-door visits, networking events, and following up on leads provided by the company.  

Client Engagement and Consultation: Educating homeowners about the benefits of solar energy, assessing their energy requirements, and discussing available financial incentives.  

Site Assessment: Evaluating roof conditions to determine suitability for solar installation, including measuring and inspecting shading, often utilising specialised software tools.  

Proposal Preparation: Developing tailored solar system proposals, including layout designs, financial forecasts (return on investment), and available financing options.  

Negotiation and Finalisation: Presenting proposals, addressing client questions or objections, negotiating terms, and securing sales agreements.  

Client Relationship Management: Maintaining ongoing relationships with customers to generate referrals and following up on unresponsive leads to re-engage potential clients.  

Reporting and Targets: Achieving or exceeding individual sales goals and maintaining accurate records within Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.  

Essential Skills and Qualifications:  

- Excellent verbal and written communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.  

- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and simply.  

- Knowledge of renewable energy systems, solar technology, and relevant local, state, or federal policies.  

- Proficiency with CRM platforms and the Microsoft Office suite.  

- Prior experience in sales within residential or solar sectors is preferred but not mandatory.
